[TUTO] – RecalBox : Comment installer RecalBox l’OS retrogaming sur Raspberry Pi

Nous verrons dans ce tutoriel d’un nouveau genre #DIY sur Sys-Advisor, comment installer RecalBox l’OS retrogaming sur Raspberry Pi en un rien de temps.

Pour commencer, RecalBox c’est quoi ?

RecalBox est votre console retrogaming #homemade qui vous permettra de jouer de nouveau (pour les plus anciens 😉 ) ou de découvrir pour les plus jeunes une infinité d’anciens jeux… L’OS RecalBox basé sur le système GNU/Linux et donc open source est disponible sur plusieurs plateformes et déployable très simplement en quelques minutes.

En quelques chiffres, RecalBox c’est donc :

  • Plus de 40 000 jeux compatibles
  • Plus de 50 systèmes disponibles
  • Jusqu’à 5 joueurs en simultané
  • Des heures et des heures de jeu

Pour ce tutoriel, j’ai ressorti mon ancien Raspberry Pi 2 avec sa carte SD 8Go et voila le résultat.

 

Les prérequis à respecter

Dans le cadre du tutoriel, voici les outils et applications que j’ai utilisés :

  • Un Raspberry Pi 2 (ou plus récent)
  • Une carte SD 8Go (ou plus de 8Go)
  • L’application Etcher (pour formater la carte SD)

Commençons par télécharger l’application Etcher via ce lien puis pour télécharger l’OS RecalBox, rendez-vous sur ce lien. Choisissez et sélectionnez la bonne image en fonction de l’équipement avec lequel vous allez utiliser le système. Dans mon cas, j’ai téléchargé l’image du Raspberry Pi 2.

Installation de l’OS RecalBox

C’est parti pour l’installation de l’OS sur la carte SD.

Ouvrez l’application Etcher que vous aurez au préalable installé puis cliquez sur « Select image » pour aller chercher l’image de l’OS RecalBox téléchargé.

 

Cliquez sur « select a Drive ».

 

Sélectionnez la carte SD puis cliquez sur « Continue ».

 

Cliquez sur « Flash! ».

 

Dans quelques instants la carte SD sera prête !

L’OS est maintenant installé sur la carte, passons au branchement du Raspberry.
