Sept Navy SEALs ont été réprimandé pour avoir participé en tant que consultants au développement du jeu Medal of Honor : Warfighter.

Les SEALs ont en effet assisté EA pour le développement de Warfighter afin que ce nouveau jeu paraisse encore plus réel mais ils sont surtout accusés d’avoir utilisé des documents classifiés dans la réalisation de ce travail.

 

D’après les dires de CBS News, les accusés sont tous membres actif de l’équipe notoire « Six » et l’un d’entre eux aurait même fait partie du raid qui a tué Oussama Ben Laden. Il semblerait que la marine est décidée en premier temps de réduire leurs payes de moitié ainsi que de leurs faires suivre une lettre de réprimande qui devrait « Tuer leurs chances » de toute future promotion.

A non-judicial punishment hearing was conducted yesterday, Nov. 7 and seven Naval Special Warfare (NSW) personnel faced administrative proceedings. An additional NSW investigation is ongoing to determine if more personnel may be involved.

They are being charged with violation of Article 92: Orders violation, misuse of command gear and violation of Article 92: Dereliction of duty, disclosure of classified material.

Two Senior Chief Special Operators and five Chief Special Operators received the punishment. They received a punitive letter of reprimand and forfeiture of ½ month’s pay for two months.
